Also attending events like large family reunions and children’s activities will help secure a time together. We live in a fast paces world and often put things involving the family on the back burner. Even simple things like family dinners are important where we can learn and share about our days with each other and know what is going on in each other’s lives as well as know what is important to each other. Little activities like shopping together are even important where time with the family can be incorporated. We all need family and the more time we can spend together especially today is important. Of all the things we do the time with our family can have a great impact on a baby’s life and if it is made to be important by parents the trait will often continue through the generations. No one can ever replace family and the bonds are tight and should remain that way but it takes effort and a commitment to do it on a regular basis.

May 18th, 2012MAKING MEMORIES
May 17th, 2012One of the most valuable treasures one can ever possess is memories. And the memories one has with their family can play a role in the rest of a child’s life. There is nothing like spending time with family and unfortunately many families today are too busy to spend time together each consumed in their own activities and little concern for the others in the family. It was not so long ago when families would gather around the dinner table and discuss the day’s events sharing about their life but today however most family members all eat at different times and are usually glued to a TV set or computer screen. It is important to take time to do activities together if only for a short time each week and participate in events that the whole family will enjoy. Even simple tasks like shopping for groceries with the family can value to the bonds a child has with his parents and siblings. For those who practice this families seem happier and healthier with all their lives intertwined and a genuine love and concern for each other’s well being. Taking time to do things together is one of the most beneficial things a family can do and events like a family vacation will leave great memories that will last for a lifetime. If you want to keep a family together, do things together and help mold the bonds that are so important for the future of the family.
BONDING
May 16th, 2012One of the most important things any family can do is take the time to continue to bond and grow close. There are several activities that can help this like take trips together, schedule a day together on a regular basis or even just make sure they have dinner together. This can be one of the single most important events for a family. Another way to bond is to schedule events like family reunions, or spend holidays together even going shopping for groceries or school items with the whole family is a great way to help establish and solidify the bonds of family. These moments will provide memories that will last a lifetime and establish solid habits and patterns between family members. Nothing can ever replace family and the importance of doing things together is paramount. We all need family whether we think so or not and the bonds we establish with us will last a lifetime. Family time is important time and in today’s world it is often put on the back burner. Make sure you take time to do things together as a family, it is one of the best investments you will ever make and it will yield you more than any gold could ever yield. Families that bond together stay together and those families are usually happy families that stay together and can count on each other no matter what is going on with each other. Make it a priority to bond as a family.

May 16th, 2012Organic Products That Are Safe and Suitable for Your Baby’s Skin
Many people especially pregnant women and parents with infants are concern with the various toxic chemicals that are found in many of the products we buy and use on daily bases. This includes foods via pesticides that we also consume. A study conducted in 2008 at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital ascertained “that babies exposed to common baby care products such as lotions, soap, shampoo and power were more likely to have phthalates in their urine than those whose parents used organic baby bath and organic baby skin products.” Phthalates are defined as multifunction chemicals which are used in many consumer products as well as skin care products. Since the early 2000 research studies have been indicating that phthalates may present serious health risks to males, pregnant women and infants when overly exposes.
Prenatal women are exposed to phthalates through the use of cosmetics such as perfumes, lotions and other skin care products. Infants in the past were exposed to phthalates, through baby bottles, pacifiers and toy made out of soft plastics and as mentioned above more recently baby bath and skin products. Infants are also exposed through mother’s breast milk. Although some of these baby products have been banned some manufactures continue to produce these products with unregulated toxic chemicals. The phthalates health effects on some babies which some research studies point out are, increased allergies, runny nose eczema altered hormone concentrations and interference with the development of the reproduction system. Baby boys appear to be more at risk according to research studies. Dr. Sheela Sathyanarayana, a professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington medical school states “Baby’s may be more at risk than children or adults because their reproductive endocrine and immune system are still developing.” Further more, she recommends “if parents want to degrease phthalates exposure to start using organic baby bath products.”

FAMILY
May 15th, 2012A time with family is priceless and the more time a baby can spend with family will only enhance a very important bond in their life. Family time is a great time to not only improve the bonds but to develop lasting memories to draw upon. There are several activities that can bring a family closer together such as family gatherings, shopping and special events like family reunions and no matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together it will help in bringing the family together in the long run. All too often in today’s society we forget about the importance of doing things as a family and are too busy with our own agenda but is critical to make sure that time is set aside to do things together even if it for only an hour or two every week. Families that do things together from an early stage seem to stay together longer and are happier that is why family time is so important. One great way to have family time is at the dinner hour when the family can get together and share what is going on with each other and even if it is only a baby as a sibling they will begin to understand the bonds of the family. We have gotten away from this in society and families have suffered for that reason as we no longer have the closeness we once had throughout society with respect to family.

Basic items you will need for baby’s bath range from several small flanel, cotton, wool wash cloths, sponge, baby cleanser or mild baby soap, a dry hooded towel, a clean diaper, clothes and a warm blanket.
Before putting your baby in water it is recommended by experts that you gently wash baby’s face with a small wash cloth which has been sterilized in boiling water prior to bath and allowed to cool. After six months it is recommended that bath water should be no more than waist high.
